Self Destruction: A critical Path to Tears

Self Destruction: A critical Path to Tears

It’s not always easy to be happy with yourself when there are constant reminders of the ultimate beauty perfection surrounding you. You may start to find it’s difficult to even accept who you are because society constantly wants you to change yourself.

Be Skinnier, be tan, be curvaceous, be fair, wear your hair long, wear it short, dye it red, dye it blonde, keep it dark, cut it off. Then of course we have to follow the fashion wardrobe trends before we end up on some crazy wardrobe gone wrong reality show, heaven forbid.  In fact now a day it’s hard to tell which voice to listen to anymore.

So the question remains how do we find satisfaction with ourselves? When we look in the mirror do we always like what we see? For a majority of us the answer is no. In fact when most people look in the mirror, they’ll recognise more easily all the tiny miniscule imperfections rather than see their true beauty.

If only….sometimes we’ll wonder….If only I had longer hair….if only I had a six pack, if only I had smaller hips, etc. Well it’s time to wake up and realise that while you were too busy feeling subconscious, the rest of the world was noticing your beauty.

Who you are inside is what truly reflects your beauty. It’s important to build your confidence based on your personality rather than just outward appearances. Sure we all want to look beautiful or handsome, and it’s only natural to want to fix simple problems like unclear skin, yellow teeth, and our fashion taste however after we’re done making all the changes possible, we have to realise something. Beauty is not only seen it’s shown. You can be the most beautiful person in the world, and not have the glow of true beauty that only comes through confidence in yourself, your place in the world, and the love for the people and things around you.

If we’re constantly putting ourselves down we’ll never get to enjoy life. So the next time you look in the mirror and see any imperfections, just think about how beautiful it is to actually be human, and living an incredible life that only you know, because whether you may realise it or not, there is no one in this entire world who’s exactly like you and this is something to truly celebrate.

Taking Care Of Your Skin

Published in STYLE & GROOMING

It’s the one thing everybody looks at when they see you, so why not keep it healthy. Psychological studies even show that we are attracted to those with clear skin. Therefore it’s no surprise your skin can be one of your greatest assets.

Of course not everyone is the same, and when it comes treating your skin you have to take into account your specific skin type. Just in case this is a little unclear, here are a few skin types.

Oily

Oily skin is mostly shiny with enlarged pores, and is prone to blackheads and blemishes.

Combination

Combination skin has traces of oil in the tissues coming from your nose and forehead, but will be clean in the areas that touched your cheeks. So it will have patches of both dry and oily skin, and it requires different types of care in relation to particular facial areas.

Normal

Tissues will not reveal any traces of oil. Your skin may feel vibrant, elastic, and supple. Normal skin has the least amount of problems. Normal skin looks clean and smooth and has a good circulation and healthy complexion. Even with little maintenance, it will look good.

Sensitive

Sensitive skin is typically thin, delicate with fine pores. It flushes easily, is prone to broken capillaries, is frequently allergic and can be rashy.

Dry

Dry skin is tight, mostly after cleansing. You skin might show fine wrinkles, flaking and red patches. In women of colour, skin may appear ashy or dull from dead skin build up.

Sun-damaged

This skin also feels tight with visible wrinkles, slack skin tone, especially around the cheeks and jaw line, with leathery texture and broken capillaries.

Treating your Skin Type

Normal

For normal skin a regular routine of cleaning, moisturising, cleansing, and applying sun block should be upheld to preserve healthy skin.

Dry

Creamy skin moisturisers are essential for people who have dry skin. Beauty products that should be used regularly are natural masks and moisturisers. A creamy cleanser can be used to remove dirt from the face. Apply a creamy night moisturiser. This will lock in much needed moisture throughout the night.

Oily

Washing the face with soap and water several times a day is the best acne skin treatment for oily skin. It removes the dirt and oil with clogs the pores. However, washing the face several times a day can strip the skin of its moisture. Oil free moisturizers that are light and watery will restore moisture to dehydrated skin.

Combination

The oily skin needs to remain dry and the dry skin needs to be moisturised. Start out with a foaming face wash to clean the entire face. Apply an astringent to the oily areas and a mild freshener for the dry areas. Use a light moisturiser over the entire face

Style Wise! Simple ways to impress her...

Published in STYLE & GROOMING

When it comes to dressing to impress guys you have to step up your game. Women like men who dress sharp and smell good. Dressing to attract women can be very useful if you’re a single guy, or have already found that someone special.

You might be wondering how exactly you can achieve this irresistibly attractive look. Well it’s not too hard. Men who look freshly shaven and wear cologne are often seen as most attractive to women.

Now this doesn’t mean that you have to get rid of all you facial hair or spay on a gallon of axe, but you certainly cannot be walking around looking or smelling like a werewolf with those serious side burns. In fact if you have some Elvis Presley sideburns shave them off now. They are corny and outdated.

In terms of hair sometimes it’s hard to say, some women like longer hair and some women like short hair. However chest hair is a definite no. No woman I’ve ever met has been attracted to chest hair, especially the type that pops up from under the shirt.

If you have pop out chest hair then please try to avoid v-neck shirts at all costs or maybe even shave it a little. I guarantee your girlfriend will appreciate it.

When it comes to dressing casual a nice casual T-shirt with jeans and a belt is fine. Finding the right type of belt can be the key. Women often notice the belt on a man’s pants since it highlight the waistline, one of the most sensual parts on a man’s body.

Pay attention to the colour of the belt. It can make or break your wardrobe. Lastly make sure your belt shows. It can be very attractive to have about 1 inch space from the top of your belt. Wearing your shirt so it reaches the halfway point of your belt can also add a good effect.

When it comes to going casual wearing simple black shoes can also be a plus. Avoid shoes that are too flashy, as this might ruin the look and appeal of the rest of your wardrobe.

Finally owning the perfect pair of jeans is very important. Avoid skinny jeans or at least jeans that are too skinny. Jeans that hang just at the waistline or a tiny bit lower are attractive. Jeans that have wide shaped pockets in the back are also seen as attractive to women.

Go dark when choosing the right blue jeans. Jeans that are too light can look a bit scary on some guys. Most importantly do what works with your body best. If you have broad shoulders find a shirt that accentuates that.  Don’t forget to look stylish you have to be in comfortable clothes that in the end suit you.

Things You Can Do to Spice up your wardrobe

A good pair of shoes is bound to be the highlight of any women’s outfit, if she chooses the right one. However let’s be serious ladies, who can afford to be hopping and wobbling around all day.

After the original shoe stricken spectacle fades off, you’re stuck in a pair of ridiculously uncomfortable stilettos all because you thought it would make you look cute.

We’re going for a little spice, not fully fledged Spicegirl. Shoes if chosen for both style and comfort can be an excellent accessory to add some style to your outfit. You can try something bright and colourful.

Pointy toe shoes can add sophistication and sass. In particular if you’re a working woman in business attire pointy toe two inch heals can work to compliment the flowing nature of your pants suit.

Necklaces on the other hand can help to take your outfit up a notch in glamour and sex appeal. Be careful though, the wrong necklace could be a catastrophe. The key to finding the perfect necklace is to look at a chain that would correspond to the length and dip of your shirt collar.

Next focus on the necklace charm, if you’re not going with a sophisticated classic pearl necklace then you can add something fun and cute. It all depends on the type of style you have. Vintage stores can be great places to find some really cool and funky necklaces.

However if you’re a working women stay away from necklaces with writing on it, for they might send out the wrong messages. Necklaces with small heart on it can be good for almost any occasion. If you like a little razzle dazzle then you can go for a necklace with a simple studded heart or rose.

Bracelets can be a great addition to an outfit. In particular choosing bracelets that match your shirt or shoes will add a sense of fashion harmony. Don’t be afraid to try bright colours in array of orange, brown and yellow. If you do go for bright colours try to find shoes that compliment those colours.

You can also achieve beauty for a low cost. Clothing stores like Primark, TK max, offer cute stylish accessories at discounted prices. Discount stores can save you up to about 70% off on products of equal or greater quality to designer names.

So don’t be afraid to spice up your wardrobe with some sophistication, glamour and sass.
