Yes and yes. We have undergone a rigourous approval process that requires us to uphold the highest standards of teaching and learner support. Back to top -
Are YMCA and OCR the same as ACTIVE IQ?
YMCA is the name of a training provider that offer Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ) awarded courses. OCR is just another awarding body. Active IQ are an awarding body much like CYQ and OCR offering a similar range of courses with the same level of syllabus content and quality control. We currently work with Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ) and Active IQ. Back to top -
Do you offer payment options?

Can I get a personal trainer job afterwards?
Whatever type of job you'd like after you graduate, we'll help you find it by reviewing your CV, teaching interview skills, and using our network of contacts to get you noticed. Back to top -
I don't have any experience in a gym, can I still do the Fitness Instructor course?
You don't need to have any experience in a gym, but it will help if you have. So yes you can. Back to top -
I'm not keen on studying theory on my own, do you have a full face to face course available?
At present we don't offer full face to face courses (theory studied in a classroom). However, we are growing and have other venues in mind where we can offer weekday courses. Back to top -
Is Exercise to Music the same as Fitness Instructor?
No. The main difference in the two courses is Unit 5 and 6. Exercise to music involves teaching group exercise in a studio or hall environment to the rhythm of music. Fitness Instructing involves no music and is based in the gym. Back to top -
Are your First Aid courses government approved?
Yes. We work in partnership with Nuco Training to deliver all our First Aid courses. These courses are Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved. Back to top -
Do I need First Aid at Work training?
That depends on the size of your organisation and the risks associated with your workplace. See the HSE website for more information. We suggest all fitness professionals to have at least the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. Back to top -

I don't live anywhere near London. Can I take a course without having to travel to you?
There is choice of taking the Distance Learning ONLINE options for many of our courses. We can then arrange for assessments to be done by video recordings and a test centre near you. Back to top -
Is the BeFit social network yours or someone you work in partnership with?
BeFit was developed by BABY Training as an extra learning and social resource for students. It provides an open forum where students can meet and share information. Back to top -
Do you offer free courses?
By free you probably mean funded. We are in the process of registering with the Skills Funding Agency. This will allow us to tender for London region funds in the near future. This means we will be able to offer a certain amount of funded courses for elligible students and companies. Back to top
Do you do weekday courses?

If I do a distance learning course is the certificate different?
No. The certficate is exactly the same as if you had done it face to face. The Units and assessments are all the same. Back to top
Do I get a job at the end of the course?
BABY - Training is very proud to boast a high pass rate and high employment rate of students that pass our courses. There are some other training providers out there who are dishonest by 'guaranteeing' you a job. We help you get work the old fashioned way; by teaching you interview skills, CV writing and giving your CV to our big contacts list in the fitness industry. Back to top
What is a VRQ and NVQ qualification?
VRQ means Vocational Related Qualification. It means that the course is related to a specific job role and is designed to give you the skills to get that job and be successful. NVQ means National Vocational Qualification. It means that you are already in a job and will gain extra skills and knowledge to be better at your job, by doing an NVQ. Back to top
